film festival in Addis Ababa, Ethopia next month. Intrigued...I did a little more exploration and it looks amazing. The festival will premiere 58 African films, one of which "
Otelo Burning" looks especially interesting. Taking place at the time of Nelson Mandela's release from prison it tells the story of township boys who take up surfing and subsequently alter their lives. The creativity coming from Africa right now is so inspring. I hope these films make it stateside!
